NO MONKEY BUSINESS FOR LA HABRA MAN

Posted by kallen On June - 6 - 2009

capuchin-monkey-00021 Craig Cook, 43, a quadriplegic due to an auto accident, formerly had to pay caregivers or rely on family or neighbors for help. But now he says, “I have independence” and the reason is a monkey named Minnie. When Cook calls out, Minnie springs into action, like, when popcorn is needed to go with a DVD movie. Minnie gets the box down, opens the microwave, inserts the popcorn, closes the door, etc. Minnie is a wonderful help and pet companion.

  1. Awesome post! I just love to hear good stories about animals – especially like this one where they have a special relationship with a person. Hats off to whoever trained Minnie – I am sure she has a happy home.

Thank you Patricia. The trainers are at Helping Hands based in Boston.

  3. It was a very nice idea! Just wanna say thank you for the selective information you have distributed. Just continue publishing this kind of post. I will be your hardcore reader. Thanks again.
